Machine Operator

Under limited supervision, the candidate should maintain the high standards associated with Oberg Industries, Inc., and produce accurate high-quality components by: inspecting parts before grinding, verify the dimensions of the work piece to match with the dimensions on the Process Management Plan, record how much time is spent on each job, set up and operate all related equipment, and maintain a clean and orderly work area. The employee is regularly required to stand, use hands to handle and/or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; be able to stoop or kneel for excessive periods of time. The work environment includes working near moving mechanical parts that create a moderately high noise level. The successful candidate will have the ability and interpersonal skills to successfully work as a team member, understand and apply work-related documents such as operating manuals, understand and perform to job-related quality standards, methods, usage of inspection devices and reporting, be able to travel domestically and internationally, read blueprints, possess basic math skills, and be able to communicate through written, verbal, or other means of communication. Must be able to work 50 hours per week, wear protective equipment, work as part of a team, and understand and apply work-related documents such as operating manuals, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. The successful candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent, and successful completion of an Apprentice program or equivalent experience. Must be a US Citizen or able to comply with US Export regulations, and able to travel domestically and internationally.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
